The University of Nottingham is inviting applications for a new strategic leadership role of Product Director, offering you the opportunity to define, drive forward and lead a new cross-departmental team that will focus on the people, processes and technology elements of supporting and enhancing our master student records system, Campus Solutions.
In this role, you will provide vision and thought-leadership to the University and work alongside the Student Administration and Continuous Improvement Management team to explore the ‘art of the possible’, challenging perceptions, establishing new ways of working and driving forward our service improvement agenda. You will need to be hands-on, with an ability to see activities through to successful completion and able to engender a strong sense of accountability and responsibility across the teams you lead.
Reporting to the Deputy Registrar, with a dotted professional reporting line to the Director of Service Design, the Product Director will be responsible for building and managing product and delivery teams and establishing a service strategy and roadmap. You will be passionate about delivering the best solutions and services for our students and staff and champion a culture of continuous improvement, leading and inspiring the team to succeed.
In collaboration with key stakeholders and suppliers, you will deliver process and technology changes to enhance our Campus Solutions product, including: simplification of our current registration process; more efficient examination and assessment processes; maximising opportunities for student self-service; improving management information provision and addressing historical system performance issues.
To succeed in this ambitious new position, you must be an experienced strategic leader, a change agent, an innovator, effective communicator, trusted advisor to senior leaders and an influencer at all levels, able to maintain high-level effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
